The Radiation Technology concentration prepares its graduates with credential to be employable as Health Physicist in nuclear power plants and other establishments that deal with ionizing radiations. The graduates of this discipline are also employable as nuclear medicine technologist, diagnostic radiography technologist, radiation therapy technologist in oncology departments, and in the use of ultrasound machines for medical diagnostics in health and medical establishments. This is a multi-disciplinary concentration in the Department of Advanced Technologies in cooperation with faculty from the Physics, Chemistry, and Biology Departments and the School of Nursing at Alcorn State University. |
