His most recent book, “Park Management in Ghana Using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing Technology” was published in September 2005 by Edwin Mellen Press, New York. He is currently working on another textbook.

Dr. Twumasi is listed in the 2005/2006 edition of the Marquis Who’s Who in America Registry of Distinction. He is currently teaching remote sensing and GIS at Alcorn State. Prior to joining Alcorn in September 2007, he was a research professor of remote sensing and GIS at Alabama A&M University. He has reviewed many national and international peer-reviewed journals relating to applied remote sensing and GIS.

Other areas of Dr. Twumasi’s research interest are natural resources management, sustainability, climate and global change, environmental impact assessment, international development, and the use of space technology in managing Earth’s resources.
