Description: |
Dr. Ognjen Kuljaca, Department of Advanced Technologies Assistant Professor and Systems Research Institute researcher gave public two day lesson on adaptive neural network control at Brodarski Institute, Zagreb, Croatia. Lessons where given on July 29th and 30th 2008.
Lessons were in part supported by funds from Crossing Borders grant from the Unity through Knowledge Fund, awarded, project “Applied neuro-fuzzy control of turbine governors and ship rudder systems”.
Adaptive neural network control is based on ability of neural networks to approximate smooth functions. Network tuning laws are derived through Lyapunov like stability analysis of the controlled system. Thus the system is always stable as long as reference trajectories and disturbances are bounded, even in the presence of unknown and unmodelled nonlinearities
